Humidifier
Humidifier

Summary

Humidity is known to affect lubricity testing of certain materials.

The control thereof therefore forms an important part in obtaining more repeatable results.

Current research is also being done to better understand the nature of its influence.

The unit can be used on the SRV the test area of the unit is in an eclosed space with a sealable door.

The unit can also be used on the HFRR since a sealabe perspex box was constructed by the Tribology sub-group earlier in 2013

Note: An older less efficient humidifier also exists that is manually operated. This unit was constructed earlier in 2013 by the Tribology sub-group and is planned for upgrade in 2014 by CSC students.
