Unless otherwise agreed upon, the above sample test work is billed at R70 per test for internal users if the sample is tested by the Requester (and the Requester is fully trained to use the machine), and R200 per test if the sample is tested for the Requester. External users from outside of the University of Pretoria will be billed at R500 ex VAT per test.

Particle Size Analysis

General Information

Particle Size Analysis (PSA) is an important technique to measure the size or solid or liquid particles. There are several technical procedures, or laboratory techniques to determiner the particle size of a sample. We have access to a Malvern Mastersizer 3000 and a Malvern Zetasizer Nano Z. The Zetasizer can also calculate the zeta potential of a colloidal dispersion.
