==Campus Proxy Servers==
===Autoconfigure===
If your browser accepts an autoconfiguration script location, use one of these (try the first one first). The [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Resource_Locator URL] contains <nowiki>http://server:port</nowiki>.

*<nowiki>http://www.up.ac.za/proxy.pac</nowiki> (This is what you want to set your browser (etc) to for normal firewall access)
** IP: 137.215.6.53 PORT: 8080

*<nowiki>http://www.up.ac.za/proxyc1.pac</nowiki> (Set your browser (etc) to this if you are using a Novell Account)
** IP: 137.215.6.50 PORT: 8080

Note that if you wish to use a Linux-based platform to connect to the Novell network, there are no official clients for Ubuntu.
To connect to the Novell server from Ubuntu Linux, install ncpfs and execute the following terminal commands:
$ mkdir /{foldername}
$ cd /
$ sudo mount.ncp -S HOTH -U {username}.students.up -A hoth.up.ac.za -V DATA /{foldername}

*<nowiki>http://innopac.up.ac.za:8080/proxy.pac</nowiki> (The AIS one - not sure why you would want to use this - maybe read ScienceDirect)
** IP: 137.215.9.20 PORT: 8080

===Manual===
If no autoconfiguration option works, use manual configuration with the following settings:

*<nowiki>http://cache.up.ac.za:8080</nowiki> The standard proxy server which is contained in proxy.pac above
